Results and track record

Preparation measured in results

92% of those who sit for the CPC exam pass it. See how they get there, who supports them along the way, and what opens up afterward.

That 92% comes from the record of students who have reported their exam result. More than 120 people have completed the program. Behind them are more than three years teaching medical coding and preparing students for AAPC’s CPC exam.

Your path to the credential

Getting into medical coding follows a clear route, and it starts with no prior healthcare experience. These are the four stretches, and what you gain in each one.

  1. Step 1

Learn the craft in your own language

Twelve weeks of live classes, entirely in Spanish, with the three official code books at your home. The English technical vocabulary is worked inside the program, on the real exam material.

  2. Step 2

    Practice where coding actually happens

You code inside an electronic health record system, which is the environment of a real practice. You practice on clinical documentation, not on textbook exercises.

  3. Step 3

Sit for the exam with support behind you

The program takes you to exam level with scenarios equivalent to the ones on test day. 92% of those who sit for it pass.

  4. Step 4

    Keep the credential current

After the exam the support continues: AAPC’s annual membership and the 36 continuing education units the credential requires every two years are covered by the program.

See how others did it

Students who completed the program describe their process on video: where they came from, how they organized their study, and what they do today. And if you would rather talk directly with one of them, the team arranges it.

A course built on current industry standards

It is taught by an instructor credentialed by AAPC as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), and studied with the three official exam code books: CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II.

Codingforhealth LLC is listed in AAPC’s public directory of Approved CEU Vendors, and the advanced program is approved for 40 Core A CEUs — the category that covers a full continuing education cycle.

AAPC CEU Approved Vendor

This program has the prior approval of AAPC for 40 Core A CEUs. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor.

The next step is within reach

The next cohort studies in Spanish, with a live instructor and the official code books at home. More than 120 people have already made this journey.
