Reading the clinical documentation and assigning the CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes that describe what happened in the office or in the operating room.
CPB — medical billing
What that code does once it leaves the office: insurance, claims, reimbursement, denials, and the rest of the revenue cycle, and why a claim gets paid, denied, or sits in A/R.
Both, in the same study plan

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the CPC and the CPB?

The CPC concentrates mainly on professional medical coding. The CPB concentrates on medical billing, claims, insurance, and reimbursement. This program studies both areas within a single plan.

What language is it taught in?

The live classes and the support are in Spanish. The industry terminology and the exam materials are worked in English, because both AAPC exams are given in that language.

When do classes start?

Live classes begin on October 14, 2026 and run on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM ET.

Are the certification exams included?

Yes. Enrollment includes the CPC certification exam with two attempts, the CPB certification exam with two attempts, and one year of AAPC membership.

Who awards the credentials?

AAPC awards them once you pass each exam. Codingforhealth is a preparation program: it trains you to sit for them.
